- Jay Antle Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award for Sustainability Work

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Jay Antle, Executive Director of the Johnson County Community College (赌钱app可以微信提现) Center for Sustainability, has been honored with an Impact Award from the Climate + Energy Project in Hutchinson, Kansas.
This lifetime achievement award recognizes Antle’s work which resulted in positive, long-term, broad impacts in climate, energy and environmental issues across the state. Since 2017, the Climate + Energy Project has recognized individuals and organizations that are leading the way to a clean energy future and a healthier, more resilient Kansas.
Antle has been Executive Director of the 赌钱app可以微信提现 Center for Sustainability since 2009. Antle’s efforts and the dedicated team he leads are credited for 赌钱app可以微信提现 consistently ranking in the top 10 of sustainable community colleges in North America. In 2012 and 2016, 赌钱app可以微信提现 was named the Best Two-Year College by the United States Green Building Council in their Best of Green Schools Awards.
Additionally, 赌钱app可以微信提现 is proud to report that electricity usage on campus is now effectively carbon neutral.
“This award goes to my staff and supportive members of the 赌钱app可以微信提现 community as much as it goes to me. We always keep in mind that the work we do is for our students and for future generations. Everyone deserves a future worth believing in,” Antle said.
A devoted environmental advocate, Antle has presented at numerous sustainability conferences in past years. He is chair of the AASHE (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) Board of Directors and has been a board member since 2015. He has also led 赌钱app可以微信提现 faculty and staff trips across the Flint Hills for the past 19 years.
